    [Misc] envelopes

I have a new fs-1128 mfp and it works just fine. The only issue i have is that when they print envelopes they come out wrinkled. Its not a roller issue because its new. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Make sure your envelopes are as flat as possible, no air inside, and as fresh as possible, not damp. I can honestly say I have never had much luck running envelopes on most the Kyocera machines. Wrinkling is unfortunatly a pretty common problem.

    Good luck

We just got another unit in the office, i tried envelopes on that one also. Same thing, the only way i got the envelopes to come out decent was by changing the media type for the mp tray. The 3 that came out the best was when i changed the media type to letterhead, labels, and custom 1. SCAN0048_000.pdf

Did you look for the fuser pressure setting for envelopes?
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Yea luis8832, I've had similar results but unfortunitly 3 weeks down the road those settings will give you a completely different result. They are just very temperamental when envelopes are concerned. I just wish Kyocera would remove them from the spec sheet.

          Good luck,

1028/1128 have no pressure tabs for the fuser. Tabs are the 3040/3140 boxes.

              Good luck,

There is no mention of the tabs in the operators manual either, just lots of qualifications about why it would wrinkle. I expect, most of the time. =^..^=

Envelopes and Kyocera products have never got along with each other very well. You can try a different envelope stock but other than that...

There are envelope pressure levers under the metal guide above the cassette. Get to it through the back. It's REAL convenient. Like a customer would ever do it.
                    Hope that helps !

Just unboxed a new machine and looked under the metal plate above the cassette, TABS Never knew those were there. Something to try next time.
