    [Error Code] C2700

Got a problem with a taskalfa 250ci.threw a 2700 code, replaced the transfer unit,no joy then engine pwb, finally the fuser unit still not fixed.the strange thing is,is that when you switch the machine on you can hear the release motor continually turning until the error Code comes up,and in simulation the motor also does the same thing.it's as though the machine isn't receiving the signal that the motor isn't in the correct position. By the way firmware is the latest.Any ideas all suggestions welcome?

    Re: C2700

I just had that C2700 yesterday. The info I read on it was to upgrade the firmware and if that didn't work to change the transfer unit. They've made changes to the gears on the unit. The release motor is on the transfer unit itself. Sorry you're having trouble. Mine reset and I upgraded the firmware. Haven't heard from the customer so I guess I just got lucky. If you need the document on the C2700 let me know. Good luck.

        Re: C2700

On my machine it was the old style transfer unit. I was able to clean, lubricate, & re-shim the color transfer shift drive. The engine PWB was the next logical choice.

All that's really left is a few feet of wiring. Perhaps a pin has pulled out of a connector? Or a wire pinched? I think I'd spend some time pinning out the harness. It sounds as though the wires you're looking for are for the color transfer shift home position sensor. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

UPDATE:the problem turned out to be a damaged pin on the transfer unit connector (machine side).Thought that i`d checked and double checked that, obviously not,oh well live and learn!!

Congratulations! These kind of harness problems require real persistence to find.

Thanks for updating the thread. I did maint A & it must've pushed a pin in slightly when I put the new belt unit in. It's not a quick fix, but I got it taken care of.
              Hope that helps !
