    Kyocera FS-C2126MFP Color Issues

I have a problem with a Kyocera FS-C2126MFP. The colors are washed out. Black came back the next day and we did not do anthing to it. On the Command Center it will say the black toner is at 96% and 15 minutes later the black will say it is at 6%. I have a sample in a PDF file below. Thanks you for your help.

We updated the firmware and we will try a transfer unit and keep you updated. We also tried a high voltage pcb also with no success.

The black areas of the images appear unaffected, but all the other colors to a varying degree. I'm thinking main drive. See if your developing units are turning consistently.

If there is no agitation, then no developing. And false add toner indications. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          Re: Kyocera FS-C2126MFP Color Issues

By replacing all the color developer units all the colors came back to normal. This is the second Kyocera FS-C2126MFP that the color developer units went out on us. The last copier it has been about a month ago since we changed the dv color units and the colors seem to be holding up. The new developer unit part # ends in a 2 instead of a 0 which I think means the part has been changed or updated. I hope this will be the final resolution.

Ok here what I found out about this copier, after disassembling it to the frame, The top cover has a gear attatch to it which with a little force can break. This gear opens and close all the toner cartridges and is a part of the toner augering system. The gear is not a part number yet and I have not received one yet,but I know this is the definite problem with this copier. I can fore see this being a issue out in the field. This is on the right side in the back on the top cover. It is not part of the top cover though.

The part# for the gear for top cover is 302KV02180( Gear top R). This part is to attatch to the top cover and it affect the top and rear cover switch and locks down and and open toner cartridges. This a very important part. Pay attention to how it is timed in the copier. Good luck. When done correctly it works. Make sure your customers know to open top cover all the way before replacing toner cartridges. This I am assuming broke this gear.

I did not know how to edit my post for the part # previously posted in the tenth post but it should be 302KV02542. See the attatchment.

I have the same problem; unfortunately, firmware is required (adjustment and upgrade, 2 sets?) and only available through dealer channel...any Kyocera saints care to send us to a dropbox or some-such where we can download them??
It can be purchased through Nuworld for $45.00, but I'm not paying for it!

You might find that removing and re-inserting the developers without replacing them might fix the problem, we have had this stacks of times. you may find the Dev units you have brought back may work on another machine lol

i know the hinge for the toner cover gets stiff and breaks, this is very common, the drive that opens and closes the toner shutters becomes very stiff with time, the solution i have found is to completely strip and lubricate it, the new hinge is a modified part.

Would this gear also cause an overtoning problem? I have an FS 2126 that has a major Cyan overtoning. I highly doubt that this would be the problem in my case as swapping developer, drums, and toner units did nothing to help this. In addition we also swapped the motor controller, and the black/cyan laser unit but yet the problem persists.

                              Any suggestions?
