Are there any error codes or jam codes stored? Is this heresay, or have you actually seen it do it, yourself?
Was there some other function in progress when it shut down? Is there a timer set? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

These things draw a lot of juice. If it is not a true 20amp circuit, it could cause problems. Also, I have seen people plugging things into the same circuit as a device like this, and when they are both running, it can cause problems. I don't know that I've seen one of these devices turn off because of this, but I had a customer with their computer on the same circuit. Every time the 6030 was turned on, or came out of power save, it shut the computer off. If you have a tester, it might help to test the outlet you have this plugged into, and make sure it is the only device on that circuit.

I agree to a degree, put a surge protector on the circuit, disconnect adf and run. When exactly is this switching off happening?

Replace the main switch itself, sometime the relay is goffy but that can be cleaned.
