Did you try replacing the exit sensor if you can find one? The exit sensor tends to fail because the heat from the fuser section wears it out over time. Hope this helps

It says you're a senior tech so I hate to suggest the obvious but did you clean the registration or timing sensor?

OMG! Mita DC211? Where did you find it?

The 211/2105/213RE/313Z/313ZD all use reed switches. So when the developer dumps, it collects on the magnet actuator of the registration switch. =^..^=

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
            1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
            2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
            3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
            4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
            5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

This is why I've forgotten how to tie my shoes. My head is filled with totally useless crap.

I spent an entire afternoon trying to fix a DC-213re that had a light area along the front of the page. After 3 hours I finally gave up on fixing it. So I put the black inner cover back on, removed the key, and closed the front door. To my surprise the problem instantly disappeared! The sun was shining through a basement window and right in through the gap around the toner cartridge. That black inner cover must have been designed just for that purpose. I sure felt like an idiot. =^..^=

Ohh, this model reminds me something about my younger age in Mita. We need to take a deep breath to take the drum unit off the machine. I almost forgotten the mechanical construction though I overhauled them a lot including the scanner clutches.

thought for sure these were all gone by now, but I still remember them. i still have a dc-111 in use. i tried to give the customer a replacement machine and he wouldnt take it....Arrrggg! Didnt know if you have checked the single sheet bypass switch on this unit. I had one with a cheetoe on the bypass switch...in a daycare of course.

Funny story...another tech was working on one of those in the shop for faint copies. He strips insulation off the wire going to the transfer block and is holding a meter lead on wire...tells me to press print...I say Are You Sure...Ya press print...so I do and the platen starts moving and I see blue electricity arc an inch to his finger and knock him off the chair...damn near pissed myself laughing. A week later same tech is working on an electronic typewriter power supply...in those days we used pagers that vibrated...so we couldn't resist phoning his pager...just as he touch the board his pager vibrated and he damn near hit the ceiling he jumped so high...LMFAO

Carry brasso and a cotton pad to polish the drum and you will get more copies from your drum. Oh, the bad old days. I remember them well.

I've had copiers with items on the Bypass, and they were Lawyers or Accountants (food items) Most of my schools or preschools were clean :-)
