If you print a solid page of black and crash the machine before the paper hits the drum are you getting a solid image on the drum?

Firmware ver 3.07, I was able to fix this problem by replacing the HV pcb. We initialy thought the laser was bad, but by removing the HV out puts to the developer I was able to get a solid sky shot with out defect. This eliminated the laser in my mind. So I borrowed a HV PCB from another copier and problem solved. Thanks for the responses. Over and out.

Excuse me for pointing out the obvious, but the CS-3500i can only print in black. It's a monochrome copier. Black and white.

If the machine you have can print in color it might be a CS-3050ci or a CS-3550ci. And that will make a big difference in the diagnosis. So is it a CS-3500i, CS-3050ci, CS-3550ci, or something else?
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
