Re: Secret Service Code on Kyocera
I can not get into the reset menu. How would it be useful to put the clips?

Re: Secret Service Code on Kyocera
I could do with this secret code specifically for TaskAlFA 5500i, but for genuine reasons if anybody in the know would p.m. me.
Thing is I have a 5500i with 250K prints that the counter has magically gone to zero!. I want to re-instate the correct count.
Cheers!Comment

Re: Secret Service Code on Kyocera
I have to admit - I tried the paperclip fix about 3 months ago. It took days to de-solder all the tiny components and replace with various sized paperclips. I may have suffered some brain damage from all the solder smoke....
Well, when I got finished and I powered the unit up- It booted to a very creepy laugh. Then - all my outside sprinklers came on and my M3550 started playing country music! Delta Dawn I believe.
This totally freaked me out so I pulled the plug and I have not plugged it back in since. (interestingly it DID reset the page counter).
Yes- I think I am the cause of the Alexa laugh because it was in the news just days after this happened.
Now what did I learn from this? I never try to reset counters. It does bad things and gives me nightmares.Comment
