Can you empty and reuse the waste toner bottle on Taskalfa 4500I? emptied one today and couldn't get the error message to go away.

Yep, you have to clean the throat of the bottle. That's where the sensor sees the toner to detect that it's full.
Empty & blow out with air. -

There are two little pockets in the neck...you can have an empty bottle and toner in those pockets and it won't work..just clean those out really good..."In a cruel and evil world, being cynical can allow you to get some entertainment out of it."

I've been trying very hard to convince my endusers not to empty these bottles. It seems that they prefer to dump the waste toner in tray #1, front door, floor, walls, ... everywhere, but it still doesn't work if the bottle is dirty. So I spend 1 hour vacuuming for a 10 second waste bottle change. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
