Agreed. Often business phone lines are set up to block certain three digit prefixes. The way to know for sure is to plug in a POTS handset and dial the number. See what result you get. =^..^=
02 April 2008? I'm sure this problem is not his main concern anymore.

Reason: Very old thread.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
Here is a thought, have you tried adding PAUSES to the dial string for 800 numbers, have you tried MANUAL dialing, if Manual Dialing works, it is possible you might need a couple of PAUSES
Has anyone had this situation? Machine will fax to every number, local or long distance but WILL NOT to any 800#
Any ideas??
I have seen this before. The customer used a system like Skype or Vonage(can not remember which) as their phone system and fax line. The outgoing fax has a "blocked caller id" or "unknown caller id" that shows up on the receiving fax line. A lot of companies that have 800 fax lines will have any faxes received with either of those headers automaically blocked and will not answer them. Ask the customer what sort of phone system they use.
Just as an added thought I have seen some of these that the error correction will block certain types of outgoing calls. You can go in and manually set the modem speed of the copier to a lower connect speed and see if that helpds too.
