    Taskalfa 250ci black color problem

    hello,
I have a problem with a TASKalfa 250ci, it faded black print, while the other colors okay, I also changed the black drum but not much has changed. The small fonts print them, but the big ones do not. appeared a strange symbol on the display? what is it?

p.s. I changed the development not black drum

You replaced the developer unit and you aren't a technician? No way....But if you are a technician, print U89 and look at solid line, if solids are light is areas then the developer unit is faulty, look at the half tone line, if halftones are light in areas then the drum is faulty. Update the firmware to Ver 12a. Always shake the hell out of the developer units before installing to distribute the toner evenly.

            1) I explain the problem: a technician came and changed development under warranty. But the problem remains. I print the posters, small fonts are good while the largest font is faded. the printer has 70,000. the warranty has expired. I would also like to know what is this symbol appear on the display
            symbol_2.jpg
2)i print a status report and the firmware version is 2h7_2f00.013.006 2012.01.06. is it updated?

            3) i've done the U89 and this is the result, is it normal?

it's the security level icon. Your security level is probably at it's lowest setting. Not a big issue. We have tons out there with that symbol.

Did the technician who came out to replace the developer go thru all the correct adjustments when he installed it?

I do not know what is the right procedure, but nothing has changed after that changed the developer unit...
is the firmware version is 2h7_2f00.013.006 2012.01.06 updated?

That does seem to be the latest firmware, but when he installed the developer did he go thru the AC Calibration and image adjustment procedure as well?

It is rare that an account doesn't have a service agreement...especially on a color box, the only thing a non tech can try are user adjustments, dev refresh, color refresh/gray adjust, color alignment.

My recommendation is to call back your dealer and have them come back out to resolve the problem. It's a return call you should not be charged labor for their screw up. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                            1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                            2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                            3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                            4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                            5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
