That's a dangerous way to phrase that question with this group.

After looking at the various guides for the 1650, I don't see anywhere that the scan system F can have memory added. And the max amount of memory I found that can be added is only 256 MB.

I did find this blurb in Tech Bulletin 1, but could not find any installation instructions.Recommended Micro Drive: Hitachi or IBM, 340MB, 512MB or 1GB.

Image memory max 2X128 Mb, Printer memory 64Mb built in 64 + 256Mb = 320 MB and the addition of a micro drive.. Memory is installed on the Main and Printer Boards.

The Hitachi Microdrive is a miniature hard drive that acts exactly like a compact flash card, and inserts into the CF slot. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

            Copy memory max. 1x 128MB

            print memory max. 1x 256MB

            fax memory max. 1x 32MB
If it ain't broke, don't fix it
