Silly me. I was thinking about the dozen models of monochrome MFPs. I wasn't thinking color. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

The monochrome desktop printers (i.e., FS2000/3900/4000DN series and FS2020/3920/4020DN series) also use the charge roller.

JR, on the models listed above, we have had great success with cleaning the charge rollers and them lasting a while.

Got my hands om some demoprints, i am impressed. I cannot see any difference with an OPC machine. Maybe a little flat and liveless, but thats fine for allot of customers.

So how come these Ceramic drums have such a great coverage of toner, without any graining/snow/bad transfer artifacts like used to know. And what is the real lifetime of a Taskalfa 2550 en 3050 machines?

Majority of calls I get for these are because of these rollers. Dozens of these machines. The machines are using aftermarket toner and the toner gets imbedded into the PCR. Sometimes cleaning them with help for another month or two. Good thing at least is you can order the PCR separately instead of having to buy the entire drum unit. Pain in the arse!

Goto youtube and do a search for recoating OPC drums

Color is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.

The Chinese & Indian manufacturers seem to have introduced that concept into the market. They seem to have discovered that a long time ago.
