When trying to upgrade firmware on a KM-4035, I get a "CF File Not Found". Any advice on how to get around this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

The smaller the CF card the better, I have had luck using 8Mb up to 512Mb. Format in computer using Fat. Expand firmware file then cut and paste or copy to root of Cf. I have not had luck with CF cards over 512 Mb. You may have to try several different cards to get one to work. This may sound silly, but it works. I am not a field tech I am a circuit board tech and have repaired hundreds of these boards for the KM/CS 3035, 4035 and 5035. Remember this series is around ten years old and technology has progressed quite a lot in thes years. Ten years ago a 1Gb CF card was a large CF card. Good Luck -

Two major points:
1) smallest possible CF card
2) format the card on the MFP
3) Unzip the firmware to a folder on your PC, copy the unzipped firmware to the root of the CF card.
OK ... three points. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I do not think that you can format the CF card on the 3035, 4035 or 5035,for the main system firmware, but if they have a print system you need to format the Cf card in the print system to update the print system firmware.Comment
