9 or 10 pages are OK. If I try to scan a batch of 30 or 40 no good 3101 error. I changed the size limit to 0 unlimited in cmd ctr advanced SMTP. I also increased the scan time but no luck. What am I missing. Thx

You may be limited by the exchange account settings.Have you tried changing the dpi to a lower resolution? -

Agreed. You may be reaching the limit exchange will allow for attachments. How large of a file can you send?
Ways that you can reduce file size include:
1) reduce resolution (dpi)
2) scan in black & white. Color files are 10x larger.
3) select Text document type
4) Email files are slightly smaller than SMB or FTP scans of the same document all other settings identical. Not sure why ... ?

1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
