    KM-C3232 blank from doc feeder

    Hi Has anyone had this fault? I have not been to the m/c but got the customer to turn off the m/c mid scan and they sent me a couple of pics.
    It looks like the scanner has moved to far left and the lamp is under the slit glass instead othe reflector/mirrors. I tested our one and the lamp stops under the right side of the cover near the white reference strip. any help on this would be appreciated.

      This is the correct position for slide reading (through the DF).

      The main reason that the scanner might be out of position would be:
      - dry or dirty scanner rail
      - scanner cable over-wrapped on the drive drum (with power Off move it through it's motion manually, feeling for resistance or snags).
      - some obstacle in the scanner sub-scan direction

      There isn't any sort of scanner lock. At setup a couple of shoulder screws are removed, so you don't need to worry about that.
      You'll have to raise the DF a little to watch what the scanner does. =^..^=
      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

              Hi,

              I'am from Gemany and new in this forum. I have actually the same problem with a KM C-3232E! When the scanner inizialise the moving part run to the position sensor for the zero point and after that it run away under the cover. All moving parts are going smooth an there is no dirt inside.The following effect occur: All copies have a dispacement of 1/2" and copying with the feeder ist not possible because the mirror stands unter the white cover...

              Hopefully anyone has an idea to solve that problem!

                  I fixed my problem! Someone had put the yellow safety screw turned around..... so the scanner couldn't reach its correct position!
