    4050 not fusing properly

I am going to look at this machine monday, one of my techs replaced the eng. board. A couple of days later the customer called and said that now the machine is only fusing in the middle. We put a fuser in the machine with no change. Has any one seen this problem?

      What kind of media?
      What media settings?
How many clicks on the existing fuser?
What fuser heat settings are on the machine?
      OEM or aftermarket toner?

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Make sure both heater lamps are coming on. If they are not, most likely a connection, engine pwb or power source pwb, but since the engine pwb was just replaced before this problem was reported, my guess would be engine pwb or connection to it. (Or is that why the engine pwb was replaced in the first place?)

The eng board was replaced because the drawer lift motor took it out. I had this same issue with a 250ci. I resolved that by doing a web page reset. I was not sure this model had that. I will post result.

Was it fusing ok before main board was changed?
I'd be looking at firmware first if its not up to date and then try a different power supply board. That failing I'd be trying the engine board.
