    km4050 scanning issue

Km 4050 i have all the first 20 slots filled in the scan to pc section, when i go beyond 20, say 21 and 22 say joe is 21 and brian is 22, they show connection and scan but the files end up in different folders,
scan joe ends up in amanda who is listed as 1, brian ends up in scott who is 20????
I have the destination as follows
    registration # xxx
    Name:Scott
    Path 192.168.0.5
the last number is the first # xxx
folder on c drive / scanning
then hit register go to home, this should register the new user.
all the users work in the 001-019
    020/scott still receives Brian's?
The name shows up but the scans go to different folders??
    also i regitered a name in the 80 - 100 section
say 081, could not connect, isnt the default number of users 99 or100?
    stumped....

If you're talking FTP the limit may be 20 FTP scanning addresses. I'll take a look in the operator's manual, but that sounds right. Email and SMB addresses are only limited to the 100 slots. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

If you are using scanner file utility then what ever reg number is on the web interface for the user, put the same as the save number for example :
      Joe:
Registration 001 then save number use 001
in the scan file utility setup use 001 and folder path whatever it is!
      Freddy:
Registration 002 then save number use 002
in the scan file utility setup use 002 and folder path whatever it is!

it is simple as that, I use it this way all the time so there is no confusion and I think you can go to 100 users

FTP..haven't tried but there is a limitation I believe.

        Re: km4050 scanning issue

so were talking the scan file utility in the web access on the kyocera? or the scan file utility in the address book utility, or the scan file utility software, if its the software, i can find it on this server, i did not set it up, nor did the IT guy who is on the job now.
So when i click on the scan file utility it says its already running.. i know this... but i cant find it to turn it off so i can add these new users. this is probably why i have cross folder file transfer.
I serched all the programs for the SFU and it comes up with nothing. It has to be running somewhere.
        Thanks for the info.

SFU shows up in the system tray. right-click the icon and click stop to stop the process, then click configuration to make changes. When finished, right-click icon and select start to restart the process.

Yes I know, its not there, Ive never had a SFU not be in the system tray, this might mean its on a separate drive in or on the server..? But, the ip used to send the scans should be where the SFU should be residing..
I dont know why it would be hidden, in the kyocera folder, there is a SFU icon but when i right click there is nothing to turn it off.,
The scans are in a folder on its own shared drive called scanning but this drive is on the server, I will have to go to the client again and re search fr it, it has to be running on the server somewhere.
            Thanks

There are 2 versions of SFU one you don't have to stop in order to change configuration and the other one you have to and a pink bar appears accross the icon. If you have installed the SFU in Service then that may may not (not sure) be issue.

In Window task manager it runs under processes as NsCatCom.exe if that is any help to you. If you haven't got that running then I'd back up the settings(although better start fresh in my opinion) and reinstall the SFU.Download the latest version IV.
