I have a CS 205c that had the "Black Image problem" that has been addressed in one of the tech bulletins and called for the main board to be replaced. The original problem was black image when making copies from the glass or the DF, no problem when sending print jobs they printed fine. I replaced the main board ran simm 04, now copies from the glass is fine but copies from the DF are blank image no image at all, went back and reseated cables on the main board with no luck, any Ideas anyone?

When you pulled out the machine ... perchance did you accidentally engage the scanner lock so that the light source #1 can no longer reach the slit glass? =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

It was just luck that a few days earlier I had read a post by a person who had come across the same thing. I couldn't remember the whole post, but I knew where to look for it.
It took longer to boot up my laptop than to fix the problem. Thanks Copytechnet. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
