We have a customer that gets an error/notice to load paper in Cassette 1 (Letter, Plain) when receiving faxes. The tray is full with letter paper and the tray is set to letter/plain (we've tried Auto as well). Printing and copying work fine; it's only ocurring when they are receiving faxes. Latest firmware applied.

You say you've tried the Auto setting. I think that will solve your problem. The fax can only auto select trays set to Auto Detect, not hard set to a specific size. Try it again. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

In auto paper screen you can select inch or ab sizes. Also check if auto reduce is on. It will reduce legal sizes to letter. If sender has a problem with there scanner it may send a letter as legal ect.Comment

set the FAX > Basic > to All Media Types. That seems to have it working for now. Strange, even though Plain was set here and the Cassette 1 was set to plain that the MFP didn't like it.Comment
