On the kyocera website there is a troubleshooting guide for these units. There are several reasons why you would get that affect on your copies and prints.
Download it and check out the first section. Let me know if it helps. Forget downloading, here it is. Good luck!

Did you stop a print half way to see if image is on transfer belt but not transferring? Is the transfer roller sitting properly with spring tension on front and rear? Maybe missing a spring?

this is clearly a transfer issue.
plse check transfer roller/Belt, => it seems to be a comman part.
please print out a color belt (A3) and scan the printed page.

Do I really care who the first person to open the machine up was? Do I really care if warranty finished last month? I asked if you checked transfer roller....WTF

Sorry for the slow response. I just saw you're attachments today.

I'll have to agree with both these gentlemen. It's clearly a transfer issue, but not so clearly whether it's primary transfer or secondary transfer. Are you getting some unaccountable gear noise? I had one recently that the secondary transfer shift gear pack cracked, and the secondary transfer unit would sometimes move properly, most times not and errored out.

Like venom says, the thing to do is emergency stop the machine with a ledger or A3 image, and see exactly where your image degrades. =^..^=
