Re: 3550ci image problem
Looks like DLV sleeve roller pitch.
As per KM:
Upgrade firmware.
Execute Dev refresh
Replace colour DLP unit which is causing the problem.

Re: 3550ci image problem
If you were to print the U089 gray test pattern you could see the interval ... and yes it looks like developing. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: 3550ci image problem
Just for your information,
I had the same issue and dev's were not readily available. I found that if you take some developer from and older unit and put it in the weak unit it revives and stops all this from happening.
I know that the Kyocera toner has developer in it to replace lost developer in the units. Seems that sometimes they use more than projected so the CQ gets light and patchy.
I wonder if we can just get some developer , don't know from where , to top off these units instead of having to replace the whole unit?
Any thoughts?
