Cs3050ci recieved fax "stuck" in print jobs "add paper..."

We have a CS/KM3050ci that is displaying the message Add Paper in Cassette 1 (Letter). See attached photo.

There is letter (oriented properly, with type set to Plain) in the tray. The "continue" button in the bottom right is grayed out. I can't get this job to print out. It won't let me delete the received fax job.

I've upgraded FW to the latest 7.0; no luck.

I pulled the fax option and reset all memory sticks; no luck.

I can move print jobs up and have them print "overriding the priority" so I know the paper cassettes are good.

I tried putting letter in all the trays including the MP tray; no luck.

I can't get the machine to go into Maintenance Mode.

    Thoughts?

Try getting into service mode with door open, i had same issue and firmware fixed mine ver 2.45a.
If you get into service mode, try reformatting hdd, replacing dimm's etc.

set your paper tray to auto paper size, faxes can't deal with any paper size set

      had this the other day

Has this same issue on a 3551ci today, thanks for the insight. Changed paper setting to Auto and fax printed right out. It's strange that I had never seen this before, but there's a first time for everything.
        Thanks again,
        Chris

Had this same issue on an x02 series set trays to auto. Bit bizarre not yet resolved with a firmware fix.

+1 on this one. All trays MUST be set to AUTO paper size detection for faxes to print. It's a weird Kyocera quirk. Especially on this model, it's very common for the enduser to break the rear paper tray guide such that it auto detects Statement R instead of Letter. The tech that goes out there may not know why this is happening, and hard set's the size, thinking that they've fixed something, when in fact it will not print faxes any more. The right thing to do is to order and replace the rear guide, so the tray (or trays) can auto detect the correct size.

If you're interested, the cause of that rear guide breaking is filling the paper tray to the top then slamming it hard. The weight of the paper snaps off a small feature on the bottom of the guide. Good luck getting the enduser to change that behavior.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
            1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
            2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
            3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
            4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
            5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
