Do you know what version of firmware has this fix? Latest I have available is v 03.02.0030, am running this but does not fix the problem. Appears to be unique to the 5501's

just check time and run sim 906.
fw update to latest version.
problem should be solved permanently if it is really TFM T on the display.

Yep Yakyitz is not dreaming this one up! I have the exact same message on a 5501i that just passed 300K: "Time for Maintenance" message, (preceded by a wrench symbol) NO letters "A" "T" or otherwise. There's no U0840 codes in the history, and I've seen enough Maint. "T" messages to know what to do about that. I'm betting on a Firmware update, just downloaded Full ver.4.00

I'll try to remember to report back to Copynet if that fixes it. Thanks to Tmaged for the jpg !

There was a firmware release for that specific error released on any machine ending in 01. You need to down the firmware that will correct this problem. Kyocera released a bulletin a few months ago. Had the same problem and fixed it with firmware.
