    Error c6000 on KM-4050

    Dear friends,

    I have a KM-4050 machine with the above error...the machine does not go into service mode when I press 10871087. Immediately i switch on the machine the error pops up and it doesn't respond to 10871087. I opened up the keyboard panel thinking that maybe one key is not responding and on putting it back I now have the error CFB31. What going on here guyz?

      Well for starters, you had a fuser error that required simulation U163 to reset. Then when you took off the op panel you plugged the 5 pin connector into YC9, not YC1 (they're exactly the same size).

      So for starters, power off, then remove the op panel again, and plug the 5 pin connector into YC1 to remove the op panel firmware error CFB31.
      Next, Run simulation U163 to try to reset the fuser error C6000. If it returns buy yourself a fuser, and run U163 again.

      Oh, and buy yourself a manual so theat you can figure these things out for yourself, and run these simulations properly. See Paul at www.justmanuals.com

          Thankyou very much but I cant run u163 because the machine doesnt respond to 10871087

              Once you fix the op panel connector, you'll be able to get into service mode. Re-read the previous post. =^..^=

                  CFB31c fixed but still the machine wouldn't enter setup mode with 10871087. Is there any other way of clearing the error (c6000)?

                      Nope. I'd try reloading firmware version 2.45a with a CF card, not USB. =^..^=

                                  Guys, nothing seems to work...I upgraded the firmware using a usb drive since I didn't have a CF card. Is there a difference? The machine still doesn't enter simulation mode. Would changing the EEPROM work for me or I am doomed?

                                      Did you RTFM? It's Status > 10871087. Geez, do I have to do it for you? =^..^=
