The service manual has a description of the problem and a list of suggestions on what to try to fix the issue.
Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.

This seems pretty elementary. Do you know how to test each of the three electrical components? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

If you cannot troubleshoot a basic fuser problem then, please step away from the copier!

Well you will like working on Kyocera equipment then. I like them over Ricoh products. But anyway , Like what was mentioned , Thermistor, or lamp etc. I can sell you a used fuser cheap if you would like . If you are just starting you will need parts. Easy to install a fuser and then repair the old one in you shop. ?? First thing to do is try to reset the code. Sim 161? OH and by the way. You do have a manual , RIGHT?

Actually the reset code is 163. Most fusers should require the same troubleshooting skills. Most of the Kyocera products have a disable feature for certain portions of the copier, however the fuser has its own. If a cassette, LCF, DP or DF error out they can be reset by sim 906.

OPS, going by memory. Yes sim 163 for fuser reset. Sim 161 changes fuser temps. Got it.
