FSC 2126 close rear cover 1

    Hi

Dealing with an error message that switches from close rear cover 1 to close top cover ...
It used to be intermittent but now it's consistent.
Been told there is a Bulletin but could not find any on KDA connect.
    Any ideas please?

    Thanks in advance.

Re: FSC 2126 close rear cover 1

The lever that operates the rear cover microswitch has been changed, along with a lot of other things. If you are going to tear it down to the point that you can change the lever, you might as well do the rest of the Gemini Updates. There are (3) bulletins covering this, listed under the FS-C2126MFP (the machines are mostly the same).

You might want to bring it into the shop to do this job. The first time took me 7 hours, then another 2 1/2 hour to get the first copy (fix all the things I screwed up). The second time took me 5 1/2 hours. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

And take a picture of your engine PWB. The fuser pressure release motor connector (2 pin) will reach two other possible connectors. This will take out the engine PWB. (That's the voice of experience speaking)
      Hope that helps !

My advice is to tell the customer that it is going to cost more than it is worth. Sell them something else and move on. Also from expierence.

Thanks guys! Somehow I do not get notified for the replies - have to update my email address or something. I came back to update this post that I applied all those updates and everything is ok, but had I known that it would take that long I would not go for it.

          Cheers!

              Hi all

Can I get a copy of the bulletin?

Also does anyone know if this applies to the M6026/M6526?

Before attempting this modification ,go to a dark room, lie down and have a little cry. It'll save time later

If all you have is rear cover and not a toner add issue you can cheat the door switch. It's inside the right cover, look for a red button style switch

I am correct in understanding the M6026cdn is the same as the FS-C2126 series?

If so would yo be able to send me the bulletin for this fault? Presumably the bulletin has the model M6026 in the title?

I have a client with the M6026 and they just replaced a toner and now they have this issue. The gears are broken and wanted to show them this only happens when the toner access cover is not opened fully when replacing a toner....
