    Firmware V11

    I had to order a black developer unit for TA250ci but requires Version 11.
    Not sure what will happen if black dev is installed with current version firmware?
    Anyone have this version 11 or knows where to get it.

      If you get an error 74-- for example. Just swap the chip between the old and new. It will work like a champ.

                  Kyocera changed the developing coupler on the back of the DV units. At the conclusion of a print or copy job the developing motor reverses causing the coupler to ratchet. The ratcheting action provides enough vibration to shake back down some of the toner that has been dumping all over these machines. Of course for all of it to work properly, you'll need version 11 of the firmware.

                  My recommendation is to get the firmware. Your machine will run cleaner. =^..^=
                  If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                  1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                  2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                  3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                  4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                  5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

                      I would almost beleive you were a HAL 9000. Hmmmmm

                          You and your customer will notice the difference. There is a noticeable fast tic, tic, tic, tic, ... at the conclusion of each job, and it is supposed to do that. =^..^=

                              Sounds like it will "take a lickin & keep on tickin"
                              Tonerkiller is going to send me over the firmware.
                              Any tips on your proper setup of dev other than what's in SR?

                                  The machine automatically does its own stir when it sees the new EEPROM (chip). Kyocera serializes all of the developing and drum units. That's the drawback to swapping chips. The machine never does a new stir.

                                  Do the firmware first, then the dev unit. Just do a complete color calibration and you're all set. See:
