I just took this machine in on trade and getting it ready for the field, tore it down and put it back together the 2 primary cass not loading paper. I wondering if the main board is bad? I tried the motor from another machine that worked, still no motor! just wondering if any one had a idea before i send the main out....

Re: KM 4050 Cass 1&2 Not working
Did they work before you took it apart? Have you gone into the service mode and executed sim 906? There are some surface mount components that sometimes go on the engine board when the lift motor goes, but at least try Sim 906.Comment

Re: KM 4050 Cass 1&2 Not working
not really sure if it did or not work before. yes i did the 906, i was going to try another Main board but some one said not to cause if the motor were short it would take the other board out..
thanks alot for your help...Comment

Re: KM 4050 Cass 1&2 Not working
A shorting lift motor will blow the driver circuitry on the engine PWB. If you had one tray that worked and one that didn't, and swapped the motors, it would blow the other driver circuit, and neither would work.
Order two lift motors and an engine PWB. Replace them all as a set. You may have to do a U906 when you're done. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
