    FS-3640 Memory Full

I have a 3640 that I'm getting in intermittent memory full. If I hit continue, it'll print two partial pages of a confirmation page, then about 40 pages of command line stuff. I've flashed the machine, replaced the fax system, ran 605, 600, 002 & 021. Does this unit share memory between the MFP & fax board ? It's got RAM disk enabled. I assume the issue is coming from the fax board since that's what prints. There is only one user that is printing to it.
There are no error codes logged.
    Any ideas appreciated.
    Hope that helps !

Like a print PostScript error? One line of code per page? Lots of hearts, smilies, special characters?

    1) I'd reload firmware first.
    2) No, I don't know if it shares fax memory. Most Kyocera's I know of do not share memory, but this may be an exception. Yes fax memory next.
    3) The fax is standard equipment on this model, so it may be part of the controller board or could be separate. Fax function board next.

Unfortunately it'll probably be an image processing issue ... 3). Sorry I can't be more specific. I've never seen one of these before. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Sample1.jpgSample2.jpgSample3.jpgSample4.jpgYep, If I hit continue, The first page has:
      Send Result Report
      MFP
      FS-3640MFP
Then the next page has: Kyocera logo
Firmware Version & Date and Time
      Then next page has:
      Error Name: /Limitcheck or Undefined
      Offending Command
Lots of PS data on one line for numerous pages.

I can't see that fax memory is expandable/upgradable so I assume it's embedded on the Fax board ?
I replaced the entire Fax System as I found the same issue on a 3140 in the KDA knowledgebase.

I'll scan & attach the pages tomorrow.

That is truly interesting. Some of the number strings do remind me of PreScribe code. Do I understand you correctly? Does it already have a new fax board? =^..^=

Yes, after firmware, replacing the fax PWB was what was next. I was surprised it was only like $68 for the whole fax system. Most of the time they are at least $400.
          Hope that helps !

The fax board plugs directly into the main at YC16. The main board seems to be your next possibility. =^..^=

i got several memory full messages, and memory errors in printed pages on fs-3140 and that was a driver issue
