    Kyocera FS-C2126 C4600 Error code

    Hi Guys
    Got a FS-C2126 with a c4600 error code, I took the Laser units out and checked the operation of the Laser cleaner by hand. I'm thinking it might be in the motor and gear assy. but wanted to check and see if anybody's had this problem before I start tearing the machine down for that its in a customers office and not much room to move around.

      There's a bulletin on this. Essentially, the manufacturer totally redesigned the slit glass cleaner drive. The new parts do not fit on the old style laser. So you have two choices:
      1) Replace two laser assemblies with new style parts.
      2) Once every 3 months you'll need to remove the transfer belt, drums, developing units, loosen two screws securing the rear laser, and manually home out the laser slit glass cleaner.

      Personally, I selected the second choice. =^..^=
      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          Thank You Blackcat, I'll check the Bulletins again and probably do the same thing to home it out whenever it kicks up the code.

                      Same problem, just power off the machine, disconnect the wire of laser cleaning motor from engine, power on the machine and it works, while powered on reconnect the motor and still working fine. It sounds like easy to solve by firmware mod.
