The only way is to pull all of the 3050 components out and replace with 5050 parts. It'll be cheaper to buy the KM5050 machine.If at first you don't succeed, redefine successComment

If you know how the 5050 motherboard works and know how to re-program service ROMs and know how to change the latency and speed of motors you might have a chance. For sure you'll need to do some soldering. There was a hypothetical thread regarding this already, just no one is that brave and have that much time on their hands to do that. And in the unlikely event of someone that brave having success, I am 100% positive they would not share the secret of their know-how!

1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.

The KM/CS 5030 uses a different main board than the KM/CS 5050 and the KM/CS 4050 and 5050 use the same board. It is not advisable to try to convert a 3050 into a 5050.Comment

If you accidently put a 3050 Main board in a 5050 copier you will wind up with registration issues.Comment
