    TA-5500i- F000

    HI all
I'm stuck with a machine (TA-5500i with no attachments) that gives me the famous F000 code after hanging on the "WELCOME" screen. Firmware update is not possible as the machine won't even read the USB. The Engine PWB turns all the motors ect.

I think it's probably the Main PWB but here is my thought.... If I remove the DIMM memory or diconnect the HDD and the turn the machine on, should I get different code ? If the code stays at F000, then surely it has to be the Main PWB ?
    Any ideas....Please
The product may be brilliant and the salesperson proficient, but if the technician isn’t efficient, then the story will end there.

    From SM:

F000: Communication error between main PWB and operation PWB

    Posible cause:
    - Defective main PWB.
    - Defective operation PWB.

It could be the op panel DIMM, or the op panel, or the CODE DIMM, or the main PWB, or firmware ... but that's about all the choices. Whatever you choose to do, remember to follow it with firmware. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

              Thank you all.
I tested the HDD, it seems fine and even tried firmware from cf card. I ordered a Main PWB....will let you know the outcome.
