FS-4200 Take up / feed roller kit replacement procedure.

Have to replace the take up/feed rollers and separation roller of the FS-4200. My problem is that the customers creepy manager is always standing behind me and looking with eagle's eyes on what I am doing when I service his other machines.

Have never seen a FS-4200 before and could use some info how to reach those rollers without looking too "Nooby".....

    Any hints please?

The most common thing I've seen is the enduser fiddling with with the retard roller and losing the separation spring. It would be a good idea to have one on-hand.

For your convenience, remove the imaging components and tip the machine to the front. You can see everything just fine. Pictures? Here:

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thanks Cat, you're still on XP sometimes too?

I don't know how much longer that I can hold out. Both my laptop and home PC are on their last legs, and I still don't like Win7 or Win8. I'm hoping for a Win10 that I can use and understand. I've got 15 years worth of documents that won't take the application transition well. =^..^=

What documents do you need to move?
I could probably knock out a small program to assit the transition.

Adobe and .txt documents seem to translate well. But Office 2000, not so well. Usually Excel and Word. If it matters, WinXP SP3 OS. I seem to lose the formulas from the Excel spreadsheets. And the formatting on Word docs goes to hell. =^..^=

How about an app that converts all the Excel spreads directly into a searchable database? Full screen edit notate with images an notation pointers ?
I thought about converting Ricoh Gooses Guide and Kyocera error codes to searchable database.

The application I've had on the backburner for the last few years. I have to get enough mojo to finish and debug it into a stable platform. The PDF decoder has been a challege which has slowed the project down.
No excuse though, I should get the project going again...

I can provide a couple of test documents when you get to that stage. =^..^=

No problem pal. I'm interested in your project too. I'm using as much as possible W7 but for my accounting software still XP was needed until now. In the coming month I am forced to move to W7 too cause I am forced to upgrade that accounting software right now. Payed already much €€€€€ for the upgrade so no excuse not to start using it.
