I have a customer who is consistently annoyed by this [lack of a] feature. When they are scanning a large stack of documents and they get a jam due to a stray staple or something similar (jams are an absolute certainty so "not jamming" is not a solution here) towards the bottom of the stack, the machine asks them to put the documents back into the ADF so it can "count" them but does not allow them to continue where they left off.
Even much cheaper machines made by less reputable companies using inferior (in my opinion) software have this feature. For example, with the Muratec MFX-2550 (no Konica Minolta equivalent for this one as far as I could tell) it will let you clear the jam, add the remaining documents to the feeder and then push "Start" when you're ready. It will then scan and send the document as if the jam never occurred.
Now, I've had two people looking at this for a couple of hours now and they've been able to find nothing. No setting or switch. Nothing. So, I suppose my question is: is anyone aware of a way to enable this feature on this machine? Of course, any answers will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
