light copies & prints on cs 300i

Customer said it was grinding and giving light copy's and prints (see attached). I couldn't find grind, but have light prints and copies, I repl transfer belt, transfer roller, black dev and drum no change. When on black only I can hardly see print but when on color it gets better.

800k pm, wow that's a solid count for these.

First, this machine looks like it could use some cleaning and vacuuming. I can tell that by the color drops on the color print. Also, if you scanned the document on this machine, there's a way to remove that background, but we can talk about that later.
For the b/w pale part, i would suggest (if you already haven't) you to replace Developer and Cleaning motors K with updated ones (there's a bulletin about those). I see you got the latest firmware there which is good. I guess you already did the standard routine: drum refresh, developer refresh, adjust uneven density, halftone adjustment, etc.

    Good luck.

Looks like it could use a really good cleaning & probably color maintenance done. Check the 4 springs on the inside rear frame when you remove the Primary Transfer Belt. If you don't remove the guide from the door to get the transfer belt out, the angle it creates will cause them to dislodge.
      Hope that helps !

The motors are a good idea for no image appearing. We recently ran into the same problem. However, if the toner dumping is still an issue after you replace them, then take a look at the gear pack: Page 51, parts manual (Assymbly) A02 302JZ93050 PARTS MPF DRIVE L. We ran into the same problem with a 3232, and ended up finding the problem after we killed the machine and started parting it. One of the mounts for the gear immediately behind the motor slips out of place and cracks the plastic housing. It is held in by a quarter centimeter metal shaft sticking about a quarter of a centimeter past the metal plate. It slips in and wreaks havoc on the rest of the gears in the section, dumping toner everywhere on the image. Since then we have replaced 3 packs in the 32xx and x00ci series. I hope it is fine. It is horrible to get to. Good luck!

Maybe it's a Copystar CS-300ci. Have you done any color calibration? Did the image quality improve briefly? =^..^=

Congratulations on finding it. It is an unpleasant surprise after PMing the machine to discover that you knocked loose one of those springs. It adds a good 2 hours to the service call to get to the transfer HVT. The good news is that the spring usually isn't lost. It just drops on top of the HVT board, waiting for you to retrieve it. =^..^=
