[Misc] CS 5551 ci vrs CS 7551ci is one better than the other?

I am doing a proposal for a Clint that does 11X17 folded, stapled, in color ( of course). As they use the same finisher I would assume no diffrence on that part, but what about everything else? Which model is better? I lean to the slower one as speed Kills, but will wait until I get feed back.
    Thanks

Personally, I would go with the 5551ci. The maint cycles on the 7551ci are 300k for the fuser & color kits. Tires & everything else are the same.
      Hope that helps !

We have a lot more of the 5551ci than the 7551ci, so I can't say that it's an even comparison, but I too an leaning towards the Venus (5551ci).

        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.

Black cat, with the 5551's you have out, how have they been over all? Pricing points to the 5551 and experence says slower = more reliable. Thank You for the input as this would be my first out of this class. I lot of 250ci's but 1 or 2 of other models.

Other than a few premature fuser replacements, it's been entirely routine calls.

We are dealers for Toshiba, Konica Minolta, and Kyocera, and the Kyoceras are the only ones without incomprehensible board problems. =^..^=

I found out my compition is a Ricoh MP C6502. As their old machine is Sub 40cpm, speed is not the biggie,..both of these are way faster. The customer is aware of the diffrence in service between what they have now, and what I used to provide. I had taken care of them for 15+years until a new boss came along and had to have Brand X. Now they have had slow/poor service form brand X and I should have the inside track as far as service goes ( I some of the workers there are my freinds) but I still have to win the new boss over. I am sure if my pricing is close to Ricoh I've got the deal, but I am wanting to compare the Machines head to head with speed a non-issue.
              Thank You
