    Oce TDS450 Completely Black Copy?

I am having problems with an Oce plan printer. We were getting really grubby copies so we opened up the machine and re-sat the corona grid, drum etc. After we turned it back on the machine now prints out completely black copies! is there something obvious we have done here?!

    any suggestions welcomed.

Well, I have thoroughly retraced my steps and there are no connectors unplugged. I am also getting a 'conditioning' message continually - this keeps running until the waste toner bag is full. Someone help please?!

          black copies

black prints are caused by the main charge corona shorting out. The main charge assy. should be cleaned and the corona wire replaced. The "grubby" print could be from the developer being bad. If you rub your hand over the copy and it feels grity then it would be the developer.

            Black copy

check that all the 3 connectors on chargecorona-box is in place.
if one of the red ones are not connected you can get this result.
            also check the drumgrounding leafspring.
i have had the same problem with defect hivoltage-powersupply
(the long card right side of the plotter)

NB! the gridwire needs cleaning sometimes, but do nothing else than clean.
never loosen it, causes nothing else but trouble
oce (and i) have had this system for over 15 years. I have 1 time tried to chaged it. but it ends with change the whole unit.
