    [CQ] Savin IM C300F

    We have installed 3 new Savin IM C300F and all three the copies and prints are light and grainy. At first we thought is was a paper issue because when we ran the copy back through the machine again the image was nice and dark. I brought a fresh ream of our higher quality paper from our office to try and it had the same issue very light and grainy. We replaced that machine with another IM C300F and it is doing the same thing. The machines are not in a high humidity or damp environment, there is no curl in the paper at all. I talked to Savin tech services and we tried running the machines at a thicker paper setting and tried adjusting the transfer voltage and it had no effect. They really could not help me with a solution. Today we installed another one of these machines at a different location and within 3 hours the customer had called and said the machine was printing light. Has anyone else had any issues with these new Savin IM C300F printing and coping light?

    did you initialize the units (dev-drums) or just slap them in? My setup guy made that mistake for four months before a tech caught it.

    HE FELT is was an unnecessary step in the process since " the test pages came out ok " but then again he was talking unnecessary steps into the warehouse for a nap every few hours.

      When installing NEW machines, the initialization is automatic. You need only to remove all four seals from the pcdus, engage the xfer lever, install each new toner bottle and close the front cover. The machine will run for a couple of minutes then beep when initialization is complete. I too have set up a couple of dozen of this model, but fortunately have not seen this symptom (yet?). I am sorry but I am at a loss as to a likely cause. Good luck and please post what you find when get these fixed.
      I just remembered...I have routinely updated the firmware using the package file. Have you tried this? I could (possibly) account for my not seeing this problem.

        Wow if these are new out of box there's no way savin can say we can't help you I would just get them in to sort the problem I hope you are using oem toner

          Did you find any solution to this problem of the IM c300f I know this post is form last year but we are having to be installing this new machines here in PR and having the same problem with some of them not all, is like is random by machine.

          Any feedback will be appreciated thanks in advance!

            We've seen this a few times, if you run say 50 duplex colour prints the issue resolves itself.

            I believe this is because the machines have been in storage for so long, possibly over a year. Most likely in a cold damp warehouse.
