    Using Toshiba toner in Oki MPS3537mc & MPS4242mc

    My boss is having a hard time finding toner for the Okidata MPS3537mc & MPS4242mc. He has found the equivalent toner for the Toshiba 347cls and 407cls. But for some reason I cant seem to make them work. I have moved around the black tabs on the side of the Toshiba toner to match the way they look on the Okidata toner but is still doesn't seem to work.

    What am I missing?

    Thanks in advance for any help.

      Is there a chip? If the old cartridges haven't reached end of life, maybe you can recover the toner only, and re-fill?
      Messy, I know, but you're running out of options. =^..^=
      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          ... this copier (discontinued) was a nightmare for toner cartirdges. Trying to find the Okidata OEM original toner is a very long shot considering that Okidata abandoned the North American print market in 2022.

          The toner is definitely " chipped" unigue to the OEM.

          Do yourself a big favor and upgrade your copier to a new Toshiba e330AC.

              I have to ask, where is the chip located?

              Is it easy to remove?

                      Iteminc.com is the only North American distributor for Oki now. Did you check with them?
