oki c9600 says wait adj temp

Customer complaining of files taking a long time to print. When you turn on the printer...the first job you send to it prints quickly. Then later other jobs you send to the printer do print but the unit takes a long time before printing them. Display says wait for a while then adjusting temp then prints job. Fuser has been replaced by a brand new oem fuser. Problem continues....Any ideas?

I've had an issue with the transparency detect sensor with other oki models causeing delay in print jobs(showing adjusting fuser temp). I'm unsure if this model has one, but it might be worth a go.

Try setting the paper weight to a fixed value. Sometimes the thickness sensor can not detect the weight properly. This results in warming up and then cooling down. Setting the weight to a fixed value resolves this problem.

If the customer is printing thick paper, there is an additional warmup time to reach the higher fusing temp. If they're using the thick paper, it's required for proper fusing. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

WHOA!!! I just logged on to this post to suggest EXACTLY the same thing!! had this 1 month ago (BA^%**!D fault!!)
Can apparently be turned off to confirm the fault (not sure how but can find out if required)

Also will cause the machine to run slow!!
