Working on magicolor 2300 dl. It is folding the paper (z folds) two perfect folds about six inches apart. Sometimes it only folds it once if it does not have heavy color on the page. Then it jams in the fuser. Sometimes it just passes on through and comes out folded. There is not print inside the folds when you smooth out the page. It never jams in the place that is folding it, so i can not find out what is going on. Does this machine have a qurk i should know about? Also i found a piece of black plastic, flat about 1/4 inch tab, can not see where it may have broken off from.

Is the folding done after toner applied or before? Think these things had some issues with registration clutch. -
