If your getting a Service Call 30 to 37, you've probably got a bad memory DIMM.

If you've got a Service Call 103 it's onboard memory, and you'll have to replace the engine board.

    What's the error?

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

The only message I get on the display is sdram error missing e. I have pulled the controller cleaned all contacts and applied a dielectic grease to ensure connection. I've been working on Ricohs for 19 yrs and this is my first Oki.

I cannot find a reference to the message that you refer to in the post. Not in the service manual or in the error code cross reference.

SDRAM referrs specifically to memory upgrades on the Main Controller Board (sockets SDMM1, SDMM2, SDMM3). I see three logical courses of action:

Remove or re-seat optional memory DIMMs (sockets SDMM1, SDMM2, SDMM3).

Remove or replace optional memory DIMMs.

        Replace Main Controller Board.

I've seen di-electric grease used on automotive contacts, but never on low voltage contacts, like in a copier or printer. I think I'd prefer to see Electro Kleen used, or maybe pencil eraser & brush. I'm sure that there are minimum memory requirements, but I can't find any reference to the exact value. You might try removing all optional memory, then power up. If error persists, install one of the sticks in SDMM1, then power up again (etc.).

Let me know how it turns out.

Thanks blackcat I'll give it a shot . I can say there is memory in slot 1 and 3. Maybe someone installed it into the wrong slot. Not sure ifeach slot was dedicated to different functions. The grease I used was issued for dimm problems we had with many of the Ricoh 2035 series. I already tried the eraser trick. tried the grease just cause I hve seen it do wonders in the past. I'll let you know how it turns out.
