    DP4510 lead edge backgroud

    I've got a DP4510 that gives a 1cm background on the lead edge of the copies.The rest of the copies are perfect.What could this be and what should I look for.Any ideas welkom

    Is it doing it from the ADF? If so adjust your ADF lead edge timing. If its only on the glass adjust your lead edge void. Both can be found in F5. Good Luck.

      its doing it from both the ADF and the platen glass,but ill try anything thanks

        this is a common fault on these models

        take the drum unit out, remove the drum and check the catch blade (below the drum blade)

        bend it back out or replace

        check the sensors that sit towards the back of the drum unit just below the catch blade

        check the transfer unit to see if u have a layer of toner on it

        remove the dev unit & place it on the desk, rotate it anticlockwise to seeif a layer of toner lands on the desk, u may need to replace the dev
