Not familiar with panasonic at all, this is my third in 15 years. This machine was purchased wholesale by the customer. It only has 15k on it, looks great. Works fine except for doing 2-2, the feeder jams every time. It will pull it in, scan the first side, shoot in back into the reversal tray, pull it back in, scan the second side, then it gets halfway back into the reversal tray. Is it supposed to go into the reversal tray after completion? or to the bottom? No idea........Help appreciated.

All our 1820s in the field have platen lids, not doc. feeders, but if its like other pannies(2310, 3510, 8035, etc), it will.....
scan the first side--->reversing bin--->scan second side--->reversing bin--->exit bin.
What J code are you getting when it jams, J74 J73 etc? Is it crinkling or ripping the sheet, or does it simply stop feeding?
Locate the deflector gate at the entrance to the reversing bin, its possible that the defector gate isn't moving to send the sheet exit tray after scanning the second side, it may be stuck/solenoid dead and its trying to send it to the scanner again. -
I wrote the jam code down when I was out there last week, but misplaced it , darnit. J73 sounds right though. It looks to me like it should come out at the bottom, not in the reversal bin, maybe the gate is getting stuck. Looks like I need to find a manual, huh.Comment
