    Fp-d355 E04-01

I understand that it is a fuser error most likely the thermistor. but i can't seem to get it into service mode. probably becuase I don't have a manual. but I'd like to try the reset code before i take it appart and clean. Does anyone know the button combination for service mode for this model?
    -thanks

I believe you have to press "User Preset", "3", and "Original Size Ledger/A3" keys simultaneously to get into service mode. If there is nothing wrong with the machine you should see F1 on the display or F4 if something wrong with the machine. To reset the fuser you have to go to F9, Ram Initialize then LBP fuser reset.

This Parts & Service manual can now be purchased for $11.77 and downloaded immediately after payment from The Internet's largest collection of manuals

Thankyou! that was the right button combination. it did forward me to F4. also the F9 menu does not have Ram initialize on it. any recomendations as to what would be wrong?

I did pull the fuser. I didn't know what it was at the time... I am not experienced with copiers. but it seemed to be in good order. no broken seals. was a little toner on it but not as much as the rest of the machine.

It was only $250 and has had 2 years of service. unless I can fix it myself it will be sold as is. so no "let a professional handle it" please.
