Customer called with E3 code. I was not aware at time that there is sub-code. Customer mentioned having just changed toner and making somewhat of a mess . I assumed connection between changing of toner, spilling of toner and error code. I vacuumed out machine which wasn't so bad. I cleaned transfer and main chargers and reinserted toner bottle. Still flashing E3 and I somehow did not see a sub-code but I am now wondering if it was an E3-03 and I thought it was just an E3 flashing as customer had mentioned .
I see that if it is an E3-03 that would refer to toner density sensor. I am assuming machine was working before customer changed toner and that customer was responding to an add toner message. it doesn't seem likely that installing toner bottle even if incorrectly would do something to toner density sensor.Any help is appreciated.
