This DP-3510 has two paper trays. A letter size and a legal size. If I take out about a 1/2 inch of paper out of the legal size paper tray it works fine. Feed rollers were leaving a black mark on the top sheet in the tray so I cleaned them. They now feel clean and sticky but still having trouble. What should I do next?
Panasonic DP-3510 Paper misfeeds from legal size paper tray only when tray is full.

Thanks but I all ready have the parts and service manuals. If it was an old xerox machine, I'd know to clean or replace a feed clutch. Does anyone know if this machine works the same way?Comment

Really seems like an odd problem for this machine. I believe the lift motor kicks in, lifts the paper to the take up roller, and when it lifts the take up roller it activates a sensor and turns off the lift motor. So there should be a pretty consistent paper height no matter how much paper is in the tray. If you suspect it's the feed clutch, you could always swap tray 1 and 2 feed ports, just make sure you plug it in correctly.
And if it's leaving marks on the paper, it seems to mean that the clutch is working, the rollers are trying to work, just something is preventing the paper from being pulled from the tray, maybe an actuator?Comment

Maybe the tray side guides or endstop are set too tight, holding the paper back? =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
