    [Jamming] Panasonic 3030 ADF Spring

After several attempts to solve original jams on a 3030, I finally decided to get rid of the spring next to the feed rollers. Now it works much better.

It's very rare that I get a machine working better without something that's supposed to be there. Am I missing something, or did I stumble over some solution that any other seasoned Panasonic tech already knew about?

One of my attempts was indeed to replace the rollers. It improved but didn't solve completely.

My question is: If the machine works better without the spring, why put it there?

Hi , put the spring back where it belongs , if the feed rollersand retard pad, and the clutch are new, check on
The other spring in front of the feeder, the one that lowers the rollers. If that doesn't fix it check the registration for the feeder in page f5.
Let me know how you do.
        Juan.

Thanks for the input, but this thread is over 1 year old - I believe the customer doesn't even have the machine anymore.

          Cheers!
