Once you have the #1 lift motor off, switch it with #2 to check if it works.......

The hardest motor to remove is #1 (top paper drawer)). To remove #2 motor(lower drawer) is easy:remove the plastic cover on the back of drawer unit(held by 2 screws) and you'll have access to #2 motor. switch it with #1 and test.

thanks for that . I understand now and will give it a go.
the new part has arrived this morning so all being well I am hoping to cure the monster tonight.
one way or another. I have got my big hammer ready.
i think this is where i should say "wish me luck" but hopefully I won't need luck.

thanks everyone for all your help
i will let you know how I go on.

            Re: PANASONIC DP 1510P

fitted the new Paper Lift Motor tonight. Went smoothly no real problems thanks to your instructions.
Once i remembered the screw that is on the psu
then i remembered what you said about not forgetting it . No problems after that.
Success the error is no more. I turn the machine on and it has no error lights on.

It still needs setting up for the correct paper size and the paper copy counter which I must have changed when trying to get the error warning light off. Too late to try to sort that now though I need some sleep.

I cannot thank you enough for all your help

              Re: PANASONIC DP 1510P

              Hi
ok everything is working perfectly and all the settings for paper size and tray etc are set correctly.
The photocopier is copying perfectly. thank you.

the photocopier is sited in a Convenience Store and has a square box wired into the photocopier which allows the Cashier to lock/unlock the photocopier thus preventing unauthorized use of the copier by customers and also tells the cashier how many copies have been done by the customer.
The Cashier then presses another button on this square box that resets the counter on the box to zero so it is ready for the next customer.
This was working fine before but isn't working now. Power is getting to it because the display on the box is lit up. The lock/unlock button isn't locking the photocopier and the counter isn't registering the copies printed.

This box has four wires and is connected to the circuit board behind the metal plate at the back. It connects to the connection labelled CNP 102 on the circuit board.

I never disconnected any wires to do with this box while fitting the paper lift motor and as power is getting to it am i right in thinking I can turn this box on through the buttons on the photocopier display panel.

Can anyone help me with this please ?

              thanks

i have had a look in the box and the display has its own battery for the display.
i have renewed the battery but it still isn't working.
