The E4-01 is the fuser not coming up to temp.Verify all of the connectors. Sometimes they can fool you. They feel connected but in reality, are not. Ohm out the lamp you installed to verify it is good. If so, you also have a thermostat and thermal fuse that could blow. Go ahead and ohm those out. If everything checks out, you probably have a blown thermistor. After that, go for the AC Driver board the big fuser connector plugs into. Good Luck but E4-01's are usually pretty easy.

Before you do anything, go into F9 service mode and run LBP Fuser Reset. That will get rid of the code in most situations.

We had an 8035 where the E4-01 kept returning, replacing the SPC board finally repaired it. Of course that's after running the LBP fuser reset.
